Automatic footfall counting


76 x 76 x 36mm	Moduplex Single beam counter with portable Data module and 4 digit 12mm high LED display for viewing the recorded data. This model will count a person every time that person crosses the beam regardless of the direction of approach. The system is supplied complete with: Data module, Suitable Mains adaptor, Reflector, 2 Magnetic activators, Cable and Software.

Supplied Accessories

LED Display
To allow the counter unit to blend in with its surroundings and to discourage unwanted interference with the system, the user has the option of having the digits of the integral display blanked out or visible. If used in blanked out mode the display can still be viewed by placing one of the supplied magnets between the arrows on the front cover. The display also serves as a warning indicator to alert the user of any alignment or permanent obstruction problems that may have occurred.

LED Indicator
The front mounted LED indicator is initially used to align the system and then serves to indicate that the counter is in operation.

Reset
The display data and download data are stored on two separate memory chips, meaning that the display can be reset without affecting the down load data. The display can be reset by placing one of the magnets between the two arrows on the front cover. For added security the user can inhibit this reset feature.

Leg/Body Counting
The counter can be set to either record individual legs or whole bodies thereby increasing the choice of locations. The on-board processor automatically carries out the necessary calculations to obtain the correct number of people that have passed through the system.

Divide by 2
The divide by 2 option allows the user to set the counter to automatically halve the recorded counts. A useful feature for locations where entry points can also be used for exiting.

Data Protection
The recorded data is stored on non-volatile memories and is therefore fully protected against power failure or accidental removal of the power supply without the need for back-up batteries.

Data download
The data module enables the user to transfer the recorded data to a remote PC without having to connect the two together. Simply plug the module into the provided socket and all the data is automatically copied from the counter to the module. The data is then retrieved from the module by connecting it, either directly or with the supplied cable, to the standard serial port of a PC.

Software
The supplied software is suitable for Windows. It allows the user to restrict downloads that can be defined by date or time periods or a combination of the two. This is ideal for more frequent or even daily downloads as it virtually eliminates the need for discarding unwanted data.
