Unicomm
Single beam counter with data download facility and 4 digit 12mm high LED display for viewing the recorded data. This model will count a person every time that person crosses the beam regardless of the direction of approach.

The system is supplied complete with:
Suitable Mains adaptor, Reflector,
2 Magnetic activators and DIN Plug.

Special Features Supplied Accessories
LED Display
To allow the counter unit to blend in with its surroundings and to discourage unwanted interference with the system, the digits of the integral display are not visible until they are activated with one of the supplied magnetic activators.

Reset
For maximum security the user can inhibit the reset feature. With the reset feature enabled, the display is cleared by holding one of the supplied magnets against the the front cover of the counter for 3 seconds. The Unicomm stores the download data on a separate memory chip which will not be erased even if the display is cleared.

Leg/Body Counting
The counter can be set to either record individual legs or whole bodies thereby increasing the choice of locations. The on-board processor automatically carries out the necessary calculations to obtain the correct number of people that have passed through the system.

Divide by 2
The divide by 2 option allows the user to set the counter to automatically halve the recorded counts. A useful feature for locations where entry points can also be used for exiting.

Data Protection
The recorded data is stored on non-volatile memories and is therefore fully protected against power failure or accidental removal of the power supply without the need for back-up batteries.

Data download
The Unicomm features an RS232 output for interfacing the counter with a PC. With the counter connected to the serial port of a PC the user can download a whole month's worth of data in either ASCII or spreadsheet compatible formats.

Software
Our dedicated software, available as an optional extra, has many useful features but any communications software, as supplied with most PC operating systems, can be used for downloading. There are many ways of analysing the data but spreadsheets are the simplest way of producing timed counts, graphs and charts etc.

Connections
The supplied DIN plug is normally used to make up the RS232 link between the counter and PC but we can supply a 1.5m long ready-made serial cable for downloading the data to portable equipment.
